A Redditch woman who was convicted of criminal damage at a McDonald’s restaurant has been handed a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which bans her from the premises. Kaitlin Wilkins, 20, of Four Oaks Close, Redditch, was found guilty at Worcester Magistrates Court yesterday (Tuesday 16 September) of entering McDonald’s on Clews Drive on 19 July when she had been drinking vodka. Wilkins went into the toilets and stuffed toilet paper in the sinks and turned the taps on and left causing the toilets to flood. She then threw tomato ketchup over the walls and windows and smashed a large window to the front of the store causing it to crack at a cost of £738. Wilkins was found guilty of the offence at Worcester Magistrates' Court and handed a CBO which lasts until 16 September 2027 which prohibits her from: - 1. Causing a public nuisance with a named individual in any public place 2. Entering McDonalds, Clews Drive, Redditch 3. Refusing to leave a premises or area when asked by someone who has authority to do so 4. Consuming alcohol or being in possession of an open vessel of alcohol in a public place, save for places licensed for the consumption of alcohol 5. Ringing or asking/encouraging/causing someone else to ring the emergency services on your behalf, unless for a genuine reason. Police Sergeant Charlie Osborne, of Redditch Safer Neighbourhood team, said: " We are pleased to get his CBO for Wilkins whose actions have impacted businesses and members of the public in the town. “This CBO and court result shows we will always pursue criminals, and we will robustly apply for orders to manage and prevent any future offending to help make Redditch a safer place for all. “Anyone who sees Wilkins breaching this CBO or committing any offence should report it to us at Report a crime | West Mercia Police .” #SaferStreetsSummer | ||
